History of Ox Hill

Ox Hill Community Agricultural Fair was established in 1936.

It was noted a "Big Success" in an early newspaper.

In 2021, Ox Hill acquired a new location for its annual events. From an overgrown, abandoned sawmill, we turned it into the fairgrounds you see today! Check out these *before* photos of fairgrounds. Thousands of hours of hard work were put into converting this land into the beautiful fairgrounds you see today!

Phases I and II were completed in 2021, with the help of many contributions.

The construction of a track allowed for new events, such as Truck Tug of War and Drag Racing. This was the first year introducing two sleds during the tractor pull.

Zone One Achievement Award presented to Ox Hill Community Fair

On January 21, 2022, we were honored to be recognized by the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs (PSACF) for our accomplishments with the 2021 Ox Hill Fair! We were invited to attend the convention in Hershey, PA and received the Zone One Achievement Award. There are four zones in the state of Pennsylvania, and we are so proud to represent Zone One with this prestigious award!

Our third year at the Mahoning Road location, we teamed with CS Pulling Promotions for the Saturday night truck and tractor pull, as well as our other track events and entertainment. 2023 allowed more progress on the property, with the addition of a men's/women's restroom and pavilion. The grounds received some updates such as adding/replacing lights, planting grass, adding a ceiling to the exhibit building, adding a floor to the general admissions stand, building up the vendor area, adding gravel to key areas and planting.

New pavilions were added to the fairgrounds, as well as new restrooms in 2023.

A new cow stall barn was built in 2024.
Additional 10 Acres Purchased
In 2024, Ox Hill Fair purchased an additional 10 acres of land to expand the fairgrounds.

We look forward to watching Ox Hill continue to grow and become a memorable experience for all who visits!
